About Desk Chair Daily
A journal about working well.
A journal about working well: the desk you sit at, the tools on it and the habits that shape the day.
Desk Chair Daily is about the working day and the things that shape it. The chair you sit in, the desk you look across, the light, the tools, and the habits that decide whether an afternoon is productive or merely long.
We publish three kinds of piece. Edits are short, opinionated lists of things we think are worth owning. How-tos are practical guides to a better setup or a calmer routine. Desk Notes are essays on how work actually gets done. Now and then we review a single product in depth.
Our recommendations come from research, comparison and ordinary use. We read what owners say after the novelty wears off, we weigh each pick against what else the money could buy, and when one of us has lived with a product the piece says so. We are not a test lab, and we would rather be useful than exhaustive.
Some links on this site earn us a commission, and some articles are produced with a brand partner. Both are labelled. Neither changes what we think of a product. Our Advertising Disclosure explains how it works.
